OVERVIEW:  

Fort Belvoir is home to two Army major command headquarters and to the Defense Logistics Agency.  It also is host to 10 different Army major command activities. Fort Belvoir has 8 Army Reserve and Army National Guard units. In addition to Army operations and units, Fort Belvoir is home to more than 30 Department of Defense (DoD) and service component tenants / detachments.  Fort Belvoir's population includes over 51,000 personnel (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Guard, Reserve, and federal civilian personnel).  

There are extraordinary government contracting opportunities for both prime contractors and small businesses at Fort Belvoir.  Each year, the Department of Defense (DoD) awards millions of dollars in small business set-aside contracts to support defense activities at Fort Belvoir. There is a broad spectrum of contracting opportunities for small businesses who want to partner with large prime contractors on government contracts. This partnership can take the form of subcontracting  or being a vendor suppliers.

Fort Belvoir's requirements for support from private industry is supported by the the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC). The MICC at Fort Belvoir provides on-post Army commands and defense tenant units with contracting support and contract administration oversight.
