OVERVIEW:  

Scott AFB is the Department of Defense's global mobility and transportation hub. It is home to both Headquarters Air Mobility Command and Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (U.S. Army).  It is also home to Headquarters, U.S. Transportation Command. Other units located at Scott AFB include the 375th Air Mobility Wing, the 932nd Airlift Wing, and the 126th Air Refueling Wing.

The 375th Air Mobility Wing is the host unit at Scott AFB. The 375th AMW maintains all base infrastructure as well as providing on-base security, communications support, medical, legal, personnel, finance, transportation, air traffic control, and other support services for base personnel and on-site DoD units.  

Including the above organizations, there are 31 tenant units at Scott AFB with more than 13,000 active-duty, Guard, and Reserve military members plus DoD civilians and contractor personnel working on-base.  This military installation comprises about 2,900 acres of land.
