OVERVIEW: 

Red River Army Depot is the U.S. Army's TACOM Life Cycle Management Command's "Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Tactical Wheeled Vehicles, the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, and Multiple Launch Rocket System."

RRAD has the capability to remanufacture road wheel and tracked vehicle systems; it is the only DoD depot with this specialized capability. RRAD is also the Army's repair and servicing depot for Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles. MRAP vehicles are designed to withstand improvised explosive devices (IED).

The Joint Services’ MRAP University is located on-site at RRAD. MRAP University provides maintenance and instructor training for personnel who will be supporting MRAP vehicles.

RRAD's Rubber Products Division manufactures and services various types of vehicle track shoes and road wheels such as the M1 road wheel. The Rubber Products Division possesses world-class, state-of-the-art re-build and manufacturing equipment and support tools for military vehicle tracked shoes and road wheels.

    Red River Army Depot has a workforce of approximately 4,500 personnel. RRAD's workforce is highly trained and certified. Many of these skilled workers deploy to regions across the globe in support of our military forces. The RRAD complex is large, spreading across 18,703 acres.

    Contracting Support for Red River Army Depot: 
    Contracting support for Red River Army Depot is primarily conducted by the Army Contracting Command (ACC) - headquartered in Warren, Michigan.  ACC also has a contracting office located on-site at the RRAD complex. These two contracting offices serve as RRAD's primary purchasing and contracting management activity.

    Small Business Opportunities and Set-Aside Contracts at RRAD:
    Each year, there are hundreds of new government contracting opportunities for small businesses at Red River Army Depot.  These opportunities include tens of millions of dollars in small business set-aside contracts and procurements for products, equipment, tools, consumables, and services.
