OVERVIEW: The Pine Bluff Arsenal is a major logistics depot for the U.S. Army. The arsenal stores, maintains, and distributes weapons and munitions for military units. The Pine Bluff Arsenal also has a weapons production capability. In this capacity, the workforce at Pine Bluff design, manufacture, and modify various types of munitions. This mission of Pine Bluff Arsenal is to provide United States' joint military forces (Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marine Corps) with specialized munitions and ordnance to include: ammunition, smoke, radiological and nuclear systems. The Pine Bluff Arsenal is a subordinate facility of the Army's Joint Munitions Command (JMC). JMC manages munitions production and storage facilities that handle more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition annually. Each year, JMC produces and stores over $30 billion of munitions and missiles. |

Each year, there are hundreds of new government contracting opportunities for small businesses with U.S. Army organizations and other federal agencies located at Pine Bluff. Through its parent command, the Joint Munitions Command, hundreds of millions of dollars in work are specifically set-aside for small business set-aside contracts and procurements. In addition to these set-aside contracts, there are hundreds of opportunities for small businesses who are interested in partnering with large prime contractors as subcontractors or as vendor/suppliers.

In addition, the Army contracting offices at the Rock Island Arsenal (Headquarters Joint Munitions Command) handles much of the contracting for the Pine Bluff Arsenal. The Rock Island Contracting office awards and administers government contracts and unit micro purchases for services, products, equipment, and support for organizations and agencies at the arsenal.
