OVERVIEW: 

NAS Pensacola is located in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.  NAS Pensacola is a major defense installation employing more than 16,000 military and 7,400 civilian personnel.  

NAS Pensacola provides support to 89 Department of Defense (DoD) and 30 non-DoD tenant commands.  Most of these organizations conduct training programs for Naval, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard aviators and aviation support personnel. 

NAS Pensacola's largest and primary flying organization is the Training Wing Six (TRAWING 6).  Squadrons and units assigned to TRAWING 6 fly a variety of aircraft to include: the T-34C, T-2C, T-1A, and T-39.  Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC). NATTC provides technical training schools for nearly all enlisted aircraft maintenance and enlisted aircrew specialties in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard.
