Naval Air Station North Island is part of the Naval Base Coronado aerospace-industrial complex (situated in San Diego, California). NAS North Island is home port to several U.S. Navy aircraft carriers. NAS North Island supports 23 aviation squadrons and over 75 military and federal tenant units. At full strength, NAS North Island has nearly 35,000 active duty military, selected reserve military, and civilian personnel on-site or deployed.
