OVERVIEW:  

Naval Air Station Fallon is the U.S. Navy's primary air-to-air and air-to-ground training facility. NAS Fallon is home to the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC) and a number of important naval aviation related training organizations and schools. 

The 14,000-foot runway at NAS Fallon is the Navy's longest runway. NAS Fallon has 3,000  personnel working on base to include: active duty military personnel, federal civilian employees, and defense contractors. 

The mission of the units at NAS Fallon is to train and support carrier air wings preparing to deploy. The units at NAS Fallon host Dept of Defense aviation related training events as well as multinational training programs and exercises. 

Fallon Range Training Complex (FRTC) is used primarily for aviation training operations. It also supports research, development, testing, and evaluation of military hardware, tactics, munitions, explosives, and electronic combat equipment.

NAS Fallon Base Operating Support 
NAS Fallon uses a Base Operating Support (BOS) government contractor to provide support services functions. This contractor is responsible for on-base facilities maintenance, transportation, landscaping, road maintenance, custodial services, etc. Subcontracting and vendor / supplier opportunities with the BOS contractor exist for small businesses.
