OVERVIEW:

MCAS Miramar is home to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. This wing provides combat ready expeditionary aviation forces (short notice capability) world-wide. The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing is the aviation element of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. The wing deploys to support Marine Air Ground Task Forces (MAGTF) as well as U.S. Naval forces and DoD unified commanders.

      Contracting Support at MCAS Miramar:
      The services, products, and resources from private industry needed to operate MCAS Miramar and support its many tenant defense organizations comes from several Marine Corps and Department of Defense contracting offices.
