Major Military Organizations and Units:
Overview: The 75th Air Base Wing is the host unit for Hill AFB. In this role, the 75th ABW provides installation support for Ogden ALC and the numerous military and associate units co-located at Hill AFB. There are approximately 23,700 military, federal civilian, and government contractors working at Hill AFB. Ogden Air Logistics Complex performs depot repair, overhaul, and modification of several types of aircraft to include the A-10, C-130, F-16, F-22, F-35 and T-38 aircraft. Ogden ALC also maintains the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile system. Another important service Ogden ALC performs is the depot repair and modification of aerospace systems and commodities such as: aircraft landing gear, wheels, brakes, rocket motors, air munitions, guided bombs, photonics equipment, training devices, software, electronics, avionics, instruments, hydraulics, and power systems. Ogden ALC has over 8,100 military and federal civilian and contractors personnel. The Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems Directorate - Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center is responsible for depot support and integrated weapon systems management of the Minuteman III and Peacekeeper ICBM weapon systems. The ICBM Directorate is responsible for a $22 billion portfolio that supports the acquisition, systems engineering, depot repair and modernization required to sustain the nation’s silo-based ICBM fleet. The Directorate is also tasked with supporting the Air Force's future Ground Based Strategic Deterrent. The Directorate consists of 420 military / federal civilian personnel as well as over 700 government contractors. |
