Fort Sill - Small business contracting opportunities and guidance for doing business with Fort Sill and U.S. Army and Marine Corps units located at this installation. OVERVIEW:  

Fort Sill is designated as the Army's "Fires Center of Excellence." It is home to numerous U.S. Army units and defense organizations to include the U.S. Army Field Artillery School, the U.S. Marine Corps Field Artillery technical training school, the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery School, the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade, and the 75th Fires Brigade.

In addition, Fort Sill host an Army Basic Combat Training unit. The 434th Field Artillery Brigade (FAB) provides Basic Combat Training for incoming civilian recruits. The 434th FAB is augmented by the 95th Adjutant General Battalion which conducts reception operations for incoming recruits. Fort Sill's Army Basic Combat Training program trains over 19,000 soldiers every year. 

Fort Sill has an annual impact of over $1.7 billion on the Oklahoma economy. There are approximately 45,445 government personnel assigned to Fort Sill. This includes military and Federal civil service personnel. In addition, there are 1,485 defense contractors working at Fort Sill.

Fort Sill - Base Contracting and Subcontracting
In an average year, Fort Sill awards and administers over $151 million dollars in contracts to private industry. To maintain and modernize on-base facilities, $36 million in MILCON-related contracts were awarded and administered.

A significant portion of these contracts are set-aside and awarded to small businesses. In addition, there numerous opportunities for small businesses to work as subcontractors and vendors for the prime defense contractors supporting base operations and military training activities. 

Fort Sill's on-base contracting office is a subordinate unit of the Army's Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC). The contracting office provides both Government contracting administration and contract procurement support for the various U.S. Army and defense organizations located on-site.
