OVERVIEW:

Fort Riley is home to the U.S. Army's 1st Infantry Division. The 1st Infantry Division has two armored brigades, one aviation brigade, and one sustainment brigade. The total military populations of Fort Riley is over 17,000. There are nearly 6,000 civil service personnel and government contractors working at Fort Riley. 

Fort Riley has an active set of training programs. Training is conducted annually for approximately 22,000 active duty, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve military partners, along with other federal, state, and local agency personnel.  

The most recent Department of Defense study indicates that the total annual economic impact of Fort Riley is approximately
$1.6 billion. Included in this figure are base procurements (contracts) for supplies and services exceeding $239 million. Over the past five years, annual on-base construction and facilities renovation contract totals ranged from $185 million to $51 million. However, construction contracts will decline in coming years as several major on-base construction projects are completed.

Fort Riley Contracting
