Overview: 

Fort Irwin is host to the United States Army's National Training Center (NTC). The NTC conducts realistic, ground combat training to prepare Brigade Combat Teams and other military units for combat operations in the Middle East or anywhere else across the globe. Stationed at Fort Irwin is the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. This Army unit provides an opposing force to military units training at the NTC.

Fort Irwin Contracting Office 
The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Fort Irwin provides on-post Army commands, units, and leadership with contracting support and contract administration oversight. The MICC is the primary purchasing activity supporting military operations and training exercises at Fort Irwin.  In addition, much of the military construction and facilities repair/renovation contracting support is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Fort Irwin Small Business Programs:  
There is a wealth of government contracting opportunities for small businesses at Fort Irwin. The contracting office at Fort Irwin awards millions of dollars in small business set-aside contracts annually to support operations at the National Training Center. In addition, there are many opportunities for small businesses to partner with large prime contractors as subcontractors or as vendor suppliers.
