There has been $3.5 billion in military construction at Fort Benning. Fort Benning MILCON includes refurbishment and modernization of facilities. For example: there has been 4,000 new and refurbished housing units, an addition of 6 Million square feet of on-post facilities, a new 750,000 square foot hospital, and a new 860 room on-post lodge.
