OVERVIEW: 

The 7th Bomb Wing (an Air Force Global Strike Command unit) is the host unit at Dyess AFB. Dyess AFB is also home to a number of Air Force training and support units. The 7th Bomb Wing is one of Air Force units flying the B-1B Lancer strategic bomber. 

Dyess AFB is also home to the 317th Airlift Group (an Air Mobility Command unit). The 317th Airlift Group flies and maintains the C-130J-30 Super Hercules cargo aircraft.  

There are approximately 12,000 active duty members, civilian employees and family members at Dyess AFB. The 7th Bomb Wing flies and maintains the
