OVERVIEW:

Dugway Proving Ground conducts testing, evaluation, training, and technical support for countering chemical, biological, radiological, and explosives (CBRE) hazards. These operations are in support of the Department of Defense, other branches of the U.S. military services, and for international allied militaries. Dugway Proving Ground is part of the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC).

West Desert Test Center (WDTC) is Dugway Proving Ground's testing area.  It is a major range and test facility base for chemical and biological defense testing. There are about 1,715 government employees working at Dugway. This includes military, Department of Defense civilians, defense contractors, and other federal civilian personnel. Dugway Proving Ground encompasses about 1,300 square miles.

Small Business and Subcontracting Opportunities at Dugway Proving Ground:

Since Dugway Proving Ground is an organization with the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC), much of its contracting support comes from this parent command as well as from the Army Contracting Command (ACC). The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) at Dugway Proving Ground provides on-site contracting support.

Each year, there are numerous defense contracting opportunities for small businesses with ATEC and at Dugway Proving Ground. When there is a procurement for less than $150,000, the MICC sets it aside for small business (if there are at least two businesses that can compete for the contract). In recent years, ACC and ATEC have awarded a significant percentage of its contracts to small businesses. There are also hundreds of opportunities for small businesses who are able to partner with prime defense contractors as subcontractors or as suppliers.
