OVERVIEW: Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) is a defense maintenance center and a munitions storage site. ANAD personnel perform depot level maintenance on vehicle systems that include tracked and wheeled ground combat vehicles (except the Bradley), self-propelled artillery and towed artillery, bridging systems, small caliber weapons, locomotives, rail equipment, and large generators. ANAD depot operations are under the command of the Army's TACOM Life Cycle Management Command.

ANAD has a new 250,000 sq ft Small Arms Overhaul facility. In this facility, infantry arms such as the Beretta M9 pistol, M16 rifle, and M2 machine gun are serviced, repaired, and modified (when applicable).
Anniston Army Depot has approximately 2,900 employees working in the depot facilities. The ANAD annual operating budget exceeds $616 million. The replacement value for the depot's equipment and industrial capacity is estimated to be nearly $2.2 billion. ANAD is a major defense industrial complex with 2,393 buildings and on-site structures.
ANAD personnel not only work at the Anniston Depot facilities, they are also routinely deployed around the world to provide our nation's combat forces with vehicle / equipment support services and in-the-field repairs. These support services include combat and battle damage repairs.

Anniston Contracting Office:
Contracting support for Anniston Army Depot is primarily conducted by the Army Contracting Command (ACC) - headquartered in Warren, Michigan at the TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC). The ACC contracting office at Anniston Army Depot provides contracting support and contract administration for ANAD and tenant units on-site. The ANAD MICC is the installation's primary purchasing and contract management activity.

Small Business Opportunities and Set-Aside Contracts at ANAD:
Each year, there are hundreds of new government contracting opportunities for small businesses at Anniston Army Depot. The ANAD contracting office purchases over $200 million for supplies, equipment, and services to support the depot. This includes tens of millions of dollars in small business set-aside contracts and procurements. In addition to these set-aside contracts, there are numerous opportunities each month for small businesses who are interested in partnering with large prime contractors as subcontractors or as vendor/suppliers.
