The 366th Fighter Wing is the host unit for Mountain Home AFB. As the host unit, the 366th Fighter Wing provides base support services, such as civil engineering, supply/logistics, housing and billeting, medical, personnel, and other support functions.

Mountain Home AFB is home to over 4,800 military and civilian members. The 366th Fighter Wing has four groups (operations, maintenance, mission support, and medical). The wing flies and sustain more than 50 F-15E Strike Eagle jet fighter aircraft and 12 Republic of Singapore Air Force F-15SG aircraft. In addition, Mountain Home AFB is home to the 726th Air Control Squadron detachment.

Some of Mountain Home AFB's other military units include the 726th Air Control Squadron and the 266th Range Squadron. Additionally, the 390th Electronic Combat Squadron (headquartered at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington) provides regional electronic air defense suppression and intelligence gathering support for military operations at Mountain Home AFB.
